Comment / Arriving at Newcastle on the midday flight from Amsterdam. PH-EZA is the first of ten ERJ-190s due for delivery to KLM Cityhopper.

Comment / KLM Cityhopper's new ERJ-190s dropped into Newcastle on several occasions over Christmas and New Year. PH-EZA was the first of the new type to be delivered to Amsterdam, arriving on 10th November 2008.

Comment / Newcastle's 2329m runway can prove challenging for some operators and aircraft, though Emirates' A330s get away with no problem at all.

Comment / The daily Emirates A330-200 flight to Dubai lines up on runway 07 on a murky December afternoon. There will be a short wait as a Cessna 172 departs and clears ahead!
